Masters Cricket reaches quarter finals

THE LAST TWO preliminary round matches in the 2025 SVG Masters 20/20 Cricket Competition were played last Sunday, November 23, at the Park Hill Playing Field.

Making good of the occasion were North East and Park Hill.

North East beat Davis Construction Bequia by three wickets.

Bequia got to 95 for 8 from 19 overs. Jefferson Richards led with 44 not out. Bowling for North East, Rajiv Roberts picked up 4 for 24, and Marcus Castello 2 for 8.

North East in reply made 96 for 7 off 13 overs; Marcus Castello scored 39.

Bowling for Bequia, Jefferson Richards snared 3 for 26, and Nigel Lewis 2 for 15.

Park Hill eked out a 17-run win over North Windward.

Park Hill scored 156 for 7 off 20 overs; Ricaldo Thomas 38, and Derek Hooper 38.

North Windward replied with 139 for 7 off 20 overs. Olando Lavia slammed 44, and Hanif Ollivierre 26.

The main wicket takers for Park Hill were Cornelius Springer, 2 for 25, and Andy Quashie, 2 for 49.

This Sunday, November 30, will see the four quarter finals taking place.
