Top players in SVGCC’s Football Competition rewarded
The top performers in the 2025 National Lotteries Authority, Unique Soccer, Touch, St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College’s Invitational Football Competition received recompense last Friday night, November 14, 2025 at the closing and presentation ceremony at the Brighton Technical Centre.
Taking the top award was Sports Science Soon Grads’ Adonis Adams, who was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.
Adams was also his team’s Most Valuable Player and added the Best Defender accolade to his takings.
Lenroy Simmons copped the Best Goal keeper award, Gabriel Doyle- Best Midfielder; Kirtney Franklyn, Best Striker; and Kevion Clarke was the top goal scorer with 13 goals.
Also rewarded were the MVPs in the semifinals, third place play-off and final.
The MVPs of the semis were Corri Durrant- Barbour and Kareem Davis. Gabriel Doyle was the MVP of the third place play -off, and Davis copped the MVP of the final.
Meanwhile, for the second year running, Gabriel Jackson was deemed to have scored the best goal of the tournament.
Additionally, the MVPs of each team, as well as the most improved players were acknowledged.
The list of MVPs include: from DASGS Combined- Ashni Henry; Sports Science Freshers -Tyrique Stephens; Jebelle F.C- Kamol Griffith; DTVE Fuego-Cody Williams; Galaxy United-Tyrese George; DTVE All Stars- Gabriel Doyle; Northern Stars- Kirtney Franklyn ; System 3 Youths -Cori Durrant-Barbour; and Sport Science Soon Grads – Adonis Adams.
The Most Improved Players awardees were Tyrese Connell- System Three Youths; Timothy Myle- DASGS Combined; Chayce Roberts- Sports Science Freshers; Jeshawn Delepsche- Je Belle Youths; Joel Hector- DTVE Fuego; Jonte Delepsche- DTVE All Stars; and Anthony Edwards- Northern Stars.
