Kennice Greene making waves in US pools
One of St Vincent and the Grenadines’ most accomplished young swimmers, Kennice Greene is making a big splash in the pool in the United States of America (USA).
Competing last Saturday, October 25, 2025 for the University of North Carolina at Pembroke Braves, Greene was one of the stand outs at the Sue Walsh Swimming Pool.
Greene rewrote the institution’s record in the 50-yard Backstroke to 27.40s and, in the process, taking the gold medal.
Greene also took gold in the 50-yard Freestyle in 23.58s. In the 100 -yard Freestyle, Greene placed second in a time of 52.93s.
She, along with Fabiana Pesce, Britta Schwengle and Noelie Lacour erased the 400-yard Freestyle Relay record at the facility, lowering the time to 3:44.71.
Greene represented St Vincent and the Grenadines at various sub- regional, regional, and global events, including the OECS Championships; Carifta Games; the Pan American Games; World Aquatic Championships; as well as the France, 2024 Olympic Games.
Greene is a member of the Black Sands Swim Squad here in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
