Mixed bag in Masters weekend Cricket
THERE WAS A mixed bag of results in the latest round of matches in the SVG Masters 20/20 Cricket competition, on the weekend of October 19 and 20, 2025.
In the lone match on Saturday, played at the Buccament Playing Field, Hope Pastures outplayed Sion Hill by 65 runs.
Hope Pastures posted 171 for 2 off 20 overs, with Rohan Ash scoring 97, and Deptor Culzac, 40 not out.
In reply, Sion Hill scored 106 for 9 from their 20 overs. Sylvanus Vanloo led with 24 not out, as Alvin Hope picked off 3 for 13.
On Sunday at Stubbs, North Windward defeated East Caribbean Metals/ Glamorgan by 9 wickets in shortened fixture because of a late start and rain.
Glamorgan scored 71 for 4 off 14 overs, as the match was reduced because of a delayed commencement.
A rain interruption then forced the match to be further altered, and in the adjusted target, North Windward reached 50 for 1 from 6.5 overs.
Mustique on home soil, dispatched RSVG Police by 52 runs.
Mustique scored 172 for 5 off 20 overs; Shem Browne made 44, and Roger Gibson, 38, as Alanzo Jackson picked up 2 for 21.
In response, RSVG Police made 120 all out off 18.1 overs, Hyron Shallow scoring 47. Bowling for Mustique, Shem Browne bagged 4 for 15.
GECCU Stanley Browne Stubbs won by default from Park Hill; while the match up between North Leeward and Strokes Masters was abandoned because of rain.
