Big wins in Masters Cricket last weekend
There were big wins for Davis Construction Bequia, Mustique, North East and RSVG Police, when the
SVG Masters 20/20 Cricket Competition staged four matches over the weekend of October 11 and 12, 2025.
On Saturday at the Stubbs Playing Field, Bequia defeated East Caribbean Metals Glamorgan by 116 runs.
Bequia posted 200 for 8 from their 20 overs. Reynold Campbell 51, and Gregory Thomas 44, were the main batters.
In response, Glamorgan was dismissed for 84 in 19 overs, with Alwyn Quashie scoring 29.
On Sunday at the Mustique Playing Field, the host team registered a 57-run win over Strokes Masters.
Mustique posted 164 for 2 off 20 overs. Roger Gibson 54, Chadwick Carrington 33, and Dexter Small 31 not out. Strokes Masters responded with 107 all out off 19.2 overs, as Ceron Padmore, 3 for 15, and Joseph Medford, 3 for 21, stymied their opponents’ batting.
But Stubbs was undone on their home patch by North East. Stubbs reached 152 for 8 off 20 overs, led by Raffique Williams 42, and Kissinger McLean 30.
In reply, North East made 153 for 5 off 12.4 overs, to win by five wickets.
North East’s batting saw Allison Dublin making 70 and Vasco Sampson 32.
And at Buccament, Police made light work of Sion Hill, winning by 133 runs.
Police amassed 253 for 5 off 20 overs. Hyron Shallow 91, McLean Williams 52, and Salvan Browne 32.
Bowling for Sion Hill, Conrad Jack took 3 for 39. At their turn at the crease Sion Hill were hemmed in at 120 for 9 off their 20 overs. Sylvanus Horne 41, and Arrington Burgin 37, showed some resistance with the bat against the rampant Olanzo Jackson, who snared 6 for 16.
