JetSetters Grenada to engage SVG teams in Netball and Volleyball
The much anticipated annual retreat of the JetSetters Sports Club of Grenada, known as ‘The Thanksgiving Games’, will take place this year in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), from Friday, October, 17 to Monday, October,20, 2025.
Over the four days, the Grenadians will participate in a series of netball and volleyball matches against top teams from SVG.
Founded in 2018, JetSetters has grown into a dynamic organization with a strong focus on youth, sports and community outreach. With three active netball teams- senior female, junior female, and male, the club sees itself as having proudly produced several national players, and continues to promote holistic development through sport.
Traditionally held in Carriacou and Petit Martinique, The Thanksgiving Games has become an annual staple event. This year, a 26-member delegation travels north to SVG for the tri-series.
JetSetters also aim to enjoy cultural visits and community-based activities while in SVG, deepening the spirit of regional connection.
The retreat follows the successful hosting of ‘Clash of the Grenadines 3.0’ in June, 2025, a multi-sport tournament that brought together teams from Grenada and SVG in netball, volleyball, and basketball matches.
These initiatives are part of the club’s broader mission to promote sports tourism and youth empowerment across the Caribbean.
“We’re proud to expand our footprint to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This retreat is more than just games, it’s about building bonds, exploring new cultures, and using sports as a vehicle,” President of JetSetters, Staciann Lake said.
“We may be divided by water, but one thing is mutual and that is our passion for the sport of netball.”
