Three retain Round D Town Road Relay titles
CHATEAUBELAIR METHODIST retained the male segment for Primary Schools, while Georgetown maintained their grip on the Secondary Schools male category, and IT- DAT Academy reigned again in the Open Female, when the 2025 Round D Town Road Relay took place in capital, Kingstown, on September, 28, 2025.
CHATEAUBELAIR METHODIST retained the male Primary Schools title
The quartet for the Chateaubelair Methodist School won in 29 minutes,22.69 seconds, which was slower than the 28:43.12, they accomplished in 2024.
The same was the case for the Georgetown Secondary School as their 31:08. 42 was also slower than their 2024 winning time of 31:03.66.
Likewise, the IT DAT Academy, en route to their retention of the Open Female title, stopped the clock 38:32.43, which was almost two minutes slower than the 36:35.78 done in 2024.
Meanwhile, as the trio continued their hold on the titles, three new winners were installed.
The Chateaubelair Methodist did the double in the Primary Schools’ category, as their female athletes won in 32:28.46.
The Barrouallie Warriors won the Female division for Secondary Schools, doing so in 42:36.44, whilst Team Mustangs’ 30:47.52 displaced X- Cel Track Club, who the 2024 edition.
GEORGETOWN MAINTAINED their grip on the Secondary Schools title
The Round D Town Relay marks the start of the annual road racing season, with all four legs beginning and ending at the cross walk at the Bank of SVG, Halifax Branch.
Like in previous editions, the primary schools then made a right turn at Forrester’s Court, then right gain at KFC onto Bay Street.
Thereafter, they turned on Higginson Street and made another right onto Grenville Street and back to the starting point.
The secondary schools and open category athletes, after leading off from the same starting point, proceeded to Sharpe Street, then on to Bay Street. Runners made their way to Linley Street, exiting at the Public Health Department, before proceeding back to the starting point.
Cash prizes were awarded for the top three places in each segment.
