Goland Greaves into seventh term as Umpires Association President
When Goland Greaves was re-elected last Saturday, September 13, 2025, as President of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Umpires Association (SVGCUA), it marked the beginning of his seventh term in the position.
His election, and that of the six other executive members took place during the association’s Annual General Meeting held at the Bishop’s College, Kingstown.
Greaves served as president from 2009 to 2015, before losing to Roger Davis, but returned to the top spot in 2019 until this time.
As the executive embarks on its 2025-2027 tenure, Greaves has Kaman Greene as his vice- president, with Annesha Richards, secretary; and Afram Byam, treasurer.
The executive is completed by Kadir Nedd, assistant secretary; public relations officer, Selwyn Allen; and committee member, Olanzo Billingy.
Saturday’s Annual General Meeting also heard reports for the 2023-2025 tenure, as well as the treasurer’s report.
The long-standing SVGCUA president said already, recruiting new umpires is part of the mandate and objective of the executive committee.
