Arnos Vale Heatseekers take title in 3X3 Basketball Tourney

SIXTEAMS ENGAGED in competition in the 3X3 Basketball tournament organised by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Federation (SVGBF) on Saturday, September, 6, 2025 at the New Montrose Hard Court, but the stand out team was Arnos Vale Heatseekers. They cured Doctors of Influence with a 16-10 win in the final game.

The SVGBF said in a release that the six participating teams were: Doctors of Influence (Nigeria); V2; Majesty; Mavrix; Heatseekers 1; and Heatseekers 2.

The teams were divided into two groups for a round robin-style contest, and the top two teams from each group played knockout games where Doctors of Influence narrowly defeated Mavrix 7-6; and Heatseekers 1 defeated Majesty 21 to 8.

The finals brought together two of the tournament’s most competitive teams, Heatseekers 1 and Doctors of Influence (Nigeria).

Heatseekers 1 remained composed under pressure and secured a 16-10 win over Doctors of Influence to claim the championship title. The SVGBF has congratulated Heatseekers for their outstanding performance and continued excellence in the sport; and expressed pleasure with the growing interest of 3X3 Basketball in the country.

It is urging players to practise this format in addition to 5V5.

The SVGBF said opportunities for competitions and tournaments will be presented to the country as part of its commitment to the sport. A national tournament

is slated to take place from October, 18, to November 16, 2025 for senior division 5V5, and Under-17 3X3 games.
