Romano Pierre hits another softball century
Romano Pierre hit his second century in the 2025 National Lotteries Authority TBPO 20/20 Softball Cricket competition, when last Saturday, August, 2, 2025 he rattled up 110 not out for Kombat Warriors versus Greiggs Young Stars at the Dauphine Playing Field.
Pierre’s ton guided Kombat Warriors to a 53 run victory.
Also contributing to Kombat Warriors’ 174 for 2 in 17 overs, was Britnol Scott, who made 30.
Greiggs Young Stars replied with 121 for 7 in 17 overs; Keno Matthews hit 47 and Delano Woodley scored 28.
Bowling for Kombat Warriors, Kerwin Browne picked up 3 for 12, and Danroy Fergus, 2 for 34.
Also on Saturday, BOSVG All Stars won by default from Hill Top who could not field a team when play was called.
On Sunday, there were wins for Fairbaine United, Dr Thomas Injectors, and AIA Reload.
Fairbaine United defeated Duck Squad United by 41 runs.
Fairbaine United scored 133 for 3 in 12 overs, with Andrew Glasgow 35, and Bernard Bushay 31 not out Duck Squad United in response scored 92 all out in 12 overs led by Tevin Miller’s 45. Christon Williams, 2 for 12, was Fairbaine United most successful bowler.
In match two, Dr Thomas Injectors saw off East Kingstown by 41 runs.
Injectors accumulated 205 for 9 in 20 overs, with Javon Nero hitting 70, Malden Scrubb 62, and Kijuan Richards 25.
Bowling for East Kingstown, Javon Seales picked up 3 for 65, Alex providence 2 for 28 and Joel Gould 2 for 44.
In reply, East Kingstown reached 164 for 5 in 20 overs. Victor Cumberbatch scored 44, Kareem Peters 41, and Javon Seales 29 not out. Javon Nero captured 2 for 23, bowling for Injectors.
And AIA Reload defeated Dauphine United by four wickets.
Dauphine United scored 74 for 6 in 17 overs- Baldwin Dabique ,20 not out, and Osborne Franklyn, 20.
Bowling for AIA Reload, Zeron Harry scalped 3 for 17, and Jerando Jardine 2 for 6.
AIA Reload reached 78 for 6 in 10.5 overs, as Jerando Jardine struck 26 not out and Raffique Sayers made 20.
Osborne Franklyn- 3 for 9, and McLean Browne- 2 for 15, were Dauphine United’s best bowlers.
