Campdonia- Chelsea champs Under-17 Football title
It took penalties to decide the Male Under-17 champions of the 2024-2025 St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation’s National Club Championships.
When the last kick was made on Saturday, August, 2, 2025, Campdonia – Chelsea was the team celebrating the title at the Brighton Playing Field, winning the penalty shoot-out 4-3 over Bequia United.
The decisive penalty kicks became necessary after the two teams played to a pulsating 3-3 draw in regulation time.
Campdonia-Chelsea’s goal came from Obama Barbour, who netted a brace, and Yonnick Miller scoring the other.
Also netting a brace for Bequia United was Kade Gooding. Bequia United profited from an own goal scored by the eventual champions.
In getting to the finals, both teams traversed different routes. Campdonia – Chelsea defeated Hope International 3-0 in their semi-final match up, while Bequia United overcame Je Belle, 4-3 on penalties, following a 1-1 tie in regulation period.
Je Belle placed third, defeating Hope International 2-1 in the play-off also on the day of the finals at the Brighton venue.
