Vincentian pairs set for Beach Volleyball Championships in St Kitts
The female pair of Veronique Matthews and Roneika Gibson, and the male duo of Stephan Woods and Dishawn Alexander, will compete for St Vincent and the Grenadines at the 2025 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association’s (ECVA) Under-21 Beach Volleyball Championships this weekend.
The four Vincentians are newcomers to the championships and will want to make a good showing at the event slated for Frigate Bay Beach, St Kitts and Nevis, from June 6 to 8.
They will be pitting their skills against pairs from Anguilla; Antigua and Barbuda; Bermuda; British Virgin Islands; Dominica; Grenada; St Eustacius; Saint Lucia; as well as St Kitts and Nevis.
At stake for the Vincentian and other competing doubles are podium places, that will allow them a passage to the July 3- 7, 2025 hosting of the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) World Championships Qualifiers in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Accompanying the four Under-21 Vincentian Beach Volleyballers to offer technical guidance are Nikita Campbell-Cumberbatch, and Ronaldo Franklyn.
