Out Ah Trouble Family wins TBPO Softball Cricket

Country Meet Town Out Ah Trouble Family returned to title winning ways in the National Lotteries Authority TBPO 20/20 Cricket Competition, with an emphatic 209 run win over Dauphine United on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the Dauphine Playing Field.

Led by Jabarri Cunningham’s 134, and Davian Barnum’s 64, Out Ah Trouble raced to 286 for 8 from their 20 overs. John Charles who bowled his team’s last over took, 2 for 11, being the only bowler of note for his team that day.

In reply, Dauphine United were dismissed for 77 in 14.2 overs. Leo Williams scored 18.

Richie Richards 5 for 5, and Sunil James, 3 for 10, were Out Ah Trouble’s most successful bowlers.

Out Ah Trouble reached the final with a 113 run win over Bank of SVG All Stars on Saturday in the last semifinal.

Out ah Trouble posted 225 for 6 in 20 overs. Sunil Ambris, 61; Davian Barnum, 49; and Richie Richards 36.

For All Stars, Kellique Samuel had 2 for 18, and Newborne Joseph picked up 2 for 38.

All Stars’ response stopped at 112 for 8 from their 20 overs. Elton Williams made 28 not out, and Kody Horne, 24.

Bowling for Out ah Trouble, Richie Richards had 2 for 3, and Sunil James 2 for 21.

Fairbaine United took the third place, beating All Stars by three wickets in the game that preceded the final.

All Stars made 90 all out in 13.2 overs. Newborne Joseph scored 37; as Glendon James scalped 2 for 1, Kelroy Cumberbatch 2 for 11, and Bernard Bushay 2 for 26.

Fairbaine United responded with 92 for 7 in 13.1 overs. Kelroy Cumberbatch scored 26, and Bernard

Bushay hit 18 not out. Kelly Murray picked up 2 for 28.

Out Ah Trouble who were winners in 2018 and 2019, and placed third in 2023, thus walked away with the top cash award of $3,000; while Dauphine United earned $1,500l; and Fairbaine United, $1,000.
