New winners in National Table Tennis Championships
SOME NEWWINNERS were crowned when the St Vincent and the Grenadines Table Tennis Association (SVGTTA), hosted its 2024 National Championships at the West St George Secondary School’s Auditorium from July 27 to August 3, 2024.

This as the duo of Leah Cumberbatch and Jessica McCarter beat Unica Velox and Shanecia Delpesche 14/12 , 11/8 11/6.
Only three teams entered, hence, a round-robin best of two finals was played.
Taking thee Male Doubles finals was the pair of Romano Spencer and Tykel Pierre, who saw off Zayden Cyrus and Sean Stanley 11/8, 11/6, 11/7, Meanwhile, in the Mixed Doubles finals, the combination of Vedel Charles and Sean Stanley had the better of Louhkya Premraj and Romano Spencer 11/9, 4/11, 11/3 ,7/11 , 11/5.
Shanecia Delpesche dethroned Leah Cumberbatch 11/8, 11/8, 13/11, 7/11, 9/11, 5/11 ,11/7 in an edge of the seat seven games thriller, to be crowned the new Women’s Singles Open champion.
However, Cumberbatch had earlier defeated Loukyha Premraj to scalp the Girls Under-19 title.
At the 2023 championships, Damion Dublin and Caleb Howard won the Male Doubles , with Dublin and Unica Velox winning the Mixed Doubles title, while Delpesche had champed the Girls Under-19 title.
