SVG Men’s Senior team in Windwards Super-50 Championship

THE STVINCENT AND the Grenadines Senior Men’s Cricket team had its first game in the Windwards Super-50 Championship yesterday, August 5, 2024 against Dominica.

The squad, which left St Vincent and the Grenadines on Sunday, August 4, is led by Sunil Ambris, while Desron Maloney serves as his vice captain.

Javid Harry has been assigned as the team’s manager/ assistant coach, and former West Indies player, Ian Allen is the head coach. The fixtures are as follows: Monday August 5, St. Vincent vs. Dominica at Mindoo Phillips Park.

Tuesday August 6, St. Vincent vs. St. Lucia at the Darren Sammy Park.

Thursday August 8, St.Vincent vs. Grenada at the Mindoo Philips Park.

The finals take place on August 10, at the Darren Sammy Park where the winner and runner up will be decided, while the teams contending for the third and fourth places will do battle at the Mindoo Philips Park.

The SVG squad reads: Sunil Ambris, (captain); Desron Maloney,(vice captain); Jehiel Walters; Ethan Gibson; Dillon Douglas; Jeremy Layne; Asif Hooper; Kenneth Dember; Keron Cottoy; Kirtney Franklyn; Rayan Williams; Jerremy Haywood; Javerdean Browne; and Solomon Bascombe.

The reserves are: Othneil Lewis; Romario Bibby; Romano Pierre; and Tilron Harry.
