Curtains come down on RSVGPF soccer campaigns

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force soccer team has concluded a series of soccer campaigns, in which 27 games were played.

The team won 18 games, lost four and drew five. A total of 51 goals were scored.

The players were outstanding in their performance and some of them were recognized for their dedication to the overall success of the team.

They are PC 952 Jomo Toppin – Best Striker; PC 421 Antonio Sutherland – Best Defender; PC 929 Kevin Patterson – Most Promising Player; Best Goalkeeper and Most Improved Player – PC 865 Sheffique Joseph.

PC 137 Kevin Abraham was adjudged the Best Police Player of the Year. There were also two female players on the team.

The Commissioner of Police and other ranks commend the soccer team on its performance in 2017.

Special commendations are in order for PC 189 Keron Caesar – the manager; Sgt 634 Cassanki Quow – captain; Sgt 315 Meldon James – head coach; and Assistant Superintendant of Police (ASP) David Trumpet – the officer in charge of the team.

The Commissioner of Police also commends the players for their consistency, dedication and discipline, and for being ambassadors in building on the organization’s community policing strategy.(Police Public Relations)
