SVG Cricket Umpires Association elects new executive

Roger Davis was returned as president of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Umpires Association, when elections were held last Thursday at the Bishop’s College Kingstown.

Davis beat Goaland Greaves 11-7, in a two-man square-off for the top spot.

Davis and Greaves were locked 8-8 in the previous Saturday’s first attempt at electing an executive.

Also returning as vice-president is Dillon Child, with Maria Abbott remaining as secretary and Michael St Hillaire, treasurer.

Child, Abbott and St Hillaire were elected unopposed.

Shevern Clarke takes up the post of assistant secretary, beating Cornelius Edwards 11-8, while Selwyn Allen resumed duties as the public relations officer, as he was unopposed.

And, Deighton Butler whipped Cornelius Edwards 16-2 in a run-off for the lone committee member position.

The new executive will serve from 2017 to 2019.
