Outa Trouble One humbled in PCCU Clinchers Softball Competition

Country Meet Town Outa Trouble One, the defending champions of the SVG Police Co-operative Credit Union’s (PCCU) Clinchers 20/20 Softball Cricket Competition, were last Saturday, humbled by Bruce Law Chambers Smashers.

The Smashers posted 118 for 9 from their 20 overs at the Richland Park Playing Field, commonly called the “Oval”. Dillon Woodley led with 25.

Outa Trouble One packed in at 93 all out in 19.2 overs. Glendon James was the pick of the bowlers for Smashers, taking 3 for 7, as his team won by 25 runs.

On Sunday, Sion Hill Tallawahs recorded an 80-run win over LOG Enterprises Supreme Strikers.

Kirton Lavia hit 2 sixes and 3 fours in his top score of 28, as Tallawahs made 130.

In reply, Supreme Strikers were bundled out for 50 in 11.1 overs.

Also on Sunday, Street Fighters used all in their armoury to evade Snipers by 112 runs.

Osni Billing blistered 6 fours and 9 sixes, to rattle up 86 and with Cedric Thomas’ 35, in which he struck 3 fours and a pair of sixes, Street Fighters cantered to 180 for 5 from 15 overs.

Snipers had no resistance and headed for cover at 68 all out.

In Sunday’s last fixture, Gairy Construction Simple Boyz bettered Warriors by 41 runs.

Stein Joseph smashed a four and 3 sixes, in his usual belligerent style, in making 31, to set off Simple Boyz’ s total of 138 for 9 from their 20 overs.

Jevin Small was Warriors’ most successful bowler, taking 3 for 26.

Warriors’ response stopped at 97, undone by Kenny Hunte, who bucketed 3 for 11.

The other scheduled match was carded for Saturday, but resulted in Country Meet Town Outa Trouble Two winning via the default route from RSVG Police.
