Petit Bordel Secondary win double in Under-15 cricket opener

The Petit Bordel Secondary School has taken the lead, winning back-to-back matches last Wednesday, as the inaugural Scotia Bank Under-15 cricket competition bowled off at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field.

The north leeward institution defeated the St Vincent Grammar School and the Thomas Saunders Secondary.{{more}}

Batting first, the Grammar School were dismissed for 51, undone by the bowling of Lean-jay Roberts, who bagged 5 for 11 and Elroy Hendrickson – 3 for 15.

Petit Bordel Secondary responded with 52 for 4, to win by six wickets.

Then, versus the Thomas Saunders Secondary, Petit Bordel batted first and notched up 146 for 5 from their 30 overs. Leading the way was Ojay Matthews with 42 and Elroy Hendrickson – 26.

Ntini Delpesche was the main wicket taker for Thomas Saunders, picking up 2 for 21.

Thomas Saunders Secondary’s batting crumbled under the bowling of Chavez Stapleton – 3 for 3 and Ojay Matthews – 3 for 9.

Omarion Ottley top scored with 29 not out, as his team suffered an 88- run loss.
