Simple Boyz steering course in TBPO Softball Competition
Reigning champions of the National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Progressive Organization Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Competition Gairyâs Construction Simple Boyz added another win in their column when they smothered Georgie Valley Saints last Saturday at the Dauphine Playing Field.{{more}}
Simple Boyz, who batted first, piled on 211 for 1 in 15 overs. Desron Maloney made 85 not out, Stein Joseph â 55 and Ozico Williams â 46 not out.
In reply, Georgie Valley Saints were sent tumbling for 58 all out in 12.3 overs; Zane Greaves made 30.
Bowling for Simple Boys, Desron Maloney, Elric Morris and Rickford Walker took two wickets each to see their team to an uncomplicated 153-run triumph.
Also on Saturday, Smart Strikers ran over ASCO by six wickets.
ASCO was 54 all out in 11.5 overs, as Brethnol Scott took 3 for 9, Alex Roberts, 3 for 12 and Harvan Smart had 2 for 9.
Smart Strikers, led by 34 not out from Erwin Williams, replied with 55 for 4 in 8.3 overs.
Bowling for ASCO, Anthonio Burke picked up 3 for 4.
Then on Sunday, Shot Callers were dominant against Carriere Blazers.
Rajvie Questelles, with 3 for 18 and Deshawn Jack, 2 for 13, combined to dismiss Carriere Blazers for 83 in 14.4 overs.
Deshawn Jack, making 43 and Mandela King â 22, then ensured that Shot Callers reached 84 for 5 in 13.2 overs.
In between Jerando Jardine snapped 2 for 6 and Xavier Edwards 2 for 9, bowling for Carriere Blazers.
And, Winter Boys trumped by three wickets over EZ Woods Toppers.
Toppers were 104 all out in 16.1 overs; Raffique Williams hit a top score of 24.
Winter Boys, on the back of 28 from Raffique Sayers, responded with 105 for 7 in 1.3 overs.
Keon Brereton and Joel Patterson both collected two wickets apiece for Toppers.(RT)
