Mc Dowall’s time was 39 minutes 9 seconds, which was better than her 40 minutes 52 seconds, which put her fourth in 2014.

The race was won by Canadian Laura Batterink in 35 minutes 38 seconds and second was Trinidad and Tobago’s Tonya Nero, in 36 minutes 45 seconds.

Meanwhile, Pamenos Ballantyne was again the first among the English speaking athletes and sixth overall. The durable Ballantyne did 33 minutes 41 seconds last Sunday to maintain the place he claimed last year.

Like Mc Dowall, Ballantyne was able to shave off some seconds from last year’s outing when he did 33 minutes 49 seconds.

The male segment of the event was won by Juan Carlos Montero of Mexico for the third time on the trot, as he timed 30 minutes 54 seconds.

Kenyan Kenneth Rotich was second in 31 minutes 57 seconds and placing third was Canadian Keenan Viney in a time of 32 minutes 46 seconds.(RT)
