Novice supreme over Strikers in Greiggs Softball Cricket
Former winners of the Hairoun Brewery, Sea Operations SVG Ltd, Courtesy Sports, Nar Fren Dem Greiggs T/20 Softball Cricket Competition CGM Novice showed their prowess when they downed Log Enterprise Supreme Strikers by 10 wickets last Sunday.{{more}}
Supreme Strikers were shot out for 53 by the bowling of Casmond Walters â 3 for 7 and Vernardo Primus â 3 for 16.
Novice responded with 55 without loss. Renrick Williams stroked 28 not out and Rohan Dowers, 22 not out.
Also on Sunday, Smashers beat Godson Caine Highlanders by 61 runs and Clinchers outdid Street Fighters by 15 runs.
Smashers batted first and made 94 all out in 18.4 overs; Chavis Peters scored 20.
Bowling for Highlanders, Nickie Antoine took 2 for 19, Kirby Simmons â 2 for 22 and Danalson Harry â 2 for 24.
At their turn, Highlanders were dismissed for 39 in 13.5 overs. Chavis Peters grabbed 3 for 3 and St Clair Dickson â 3 for 11.
In Clinchersâ win, they batted first, making 114 for 7 from their 20 overs. Marlon Farrell top scored with 45 not out.
Kimson Danzell took 3 for 21 and Ricardo Thomas â 2 for 26, but Street Fightersâ batting faltered and they were dismissed for 100 in their 20 overs.
Leading the way, but in a losing cause, was Ricardo Thomas, who scored 35.
Following up his batting, Marlon Farrell took 3 for 10, Peter Richards â 2 for 12 and Curlon John â 2 for 13.
And, Saturdayâs lone fixture saw Country Meets Town Outa Trouble registering a 68-run win over Gomea Bombers.
Outa Trouble posted 173 for 4 wickets in their 20 overs; Saski Weekes made 75 and Javid Harry â 58 not out.
In reply, Gomea Bombers were 106 all out, with Bernard Bushayâs 55 the top score.
Bowling for Outa Trouble, Imran Samuel took 3 for 21, Shemroy Primus 2 for 5 and Rawdon Bentick 2 for 23.(RT)
