A goal each from Omar Thomas, Orande James and Troy Wyllie gave Cane End a comprehensive three-nil blanking of debutants All Saints University.
Cane End, however, has its eye on a bigger prize, that of the league champion. To get there, they first have to overcome All Saints University on Wednesday in the second semi-final in a rematch of the knockout final.
The first semi-final takes place today, Tuesday, when defending champions Greiggs play Downstreet. Winners of the semi-finals play in Sundayâs final, with the losers meeting in the third place play-off.
The winner of the senior division pockets $1,500, second place, $1,000 and third place, $500.
At the opening of the 2015 league on May 3, president of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation Venold Coombs informed those present that his organization would provide all the trophies to be presented in the competitions.(RT)
