SVGASPE fostering links with communities

In partnership with Westside Raiders and the Sammy Carrington Sports Foundation, the SVGASPE held a two-day football camp at Ottley Hall Playing Field, last Thursday and Friday.

The camp had an attendance of about 60 youths coming from neighbouring communities of Questelles, Sharpes and the immediate environs.

In recompense for the attendance and enthusiasm, the youths received top notch coaching and were rewarded with balls, uniforms, water bottles and football shoes.

Head of SVGASPE Ian Hypolite said that other undertakings are in train for the upcoming months, as they endeavour to fulfil their social responsibilities.

SVGASPE’s vision is to be a conduit that fosters new beginnings in the life of people and communities through training lifelong learning and producing citizens who function to their fullest potential.

The vision also entails developing people and communities through sports and education.(RT)
