Speaking at the brief ceremony, president of the Yom Chi Taekwondo Club Lanceford Weekes said the young club is making strides and is helping with the development of the nation’s youth.

“The students have been very disciplined and they are really doing well,” Weekes, who is not a practitioner of the sport said.

He thanked the parents present for entrusting them with the care of their children and for being supportive in the club and in the development of the students.

Chief instructor of the club is master Glenroy Gaymes, who also thanked the parents for their support and congratulated the students on their accomplishments.

The club started in 2012 and instituted their first executive last year. The club is located at Lower Middle Street.(KW)
