âI have a bar and I want to deal with it; Iâm going to invest in my bar,â said the pool shark, who was rewarded with EC$5,000.
âConfidence was with me on the night; I felt confident,â he stressed.
Barker was always a favourite to win the competition, as he won the very first round at the Drop Off Night Club in Sans Souci on Saturday, January 24. He won EC$500 on that occasion.
Pitt, defeated in the best of five finals commented, âI canât say I feel too disappointed, but I could have played better, but at the end somebody has to win and it was. I had time to prepare, but I think I should have played a few warm-up games on the night. I was a bit nervous because some of the shots I should have made, but it was just not my night.â
Pitt made his way into the finals by winning the 5th round of the competition, which was held on Friday, February, 13 at Big City Life Bar in Richland Park.
Cleve âSkipâ McKenzie of the St Vincent Breweryâs Trade Marketing Department and tournament supervisor described the tournament as a huge success.
âWithout the players, the tournament could not have happened, so we thank you all for playing,â said McKenzie.
