Speaking at the opening ceremony, president of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation Venold Coombs indicated that his organization welcomes the masters’ competition, as together with the ongoing Inter Community League Championships, it means that all age and gender categories will be in operation simultaneously.

The brief ceremony was followed by a soccerama competition, which kicked off the 2015 edition; Layou edged out Sion Hill in the final.

When the competition began in earnest last Tuesday night, Computec Vincy Masters had it all their way against Fisheries Division, beating them eight-nil.

A hat-trick from Troy Browne, as well as a brace by Alwyn Guy, and one each from Dexter Walker, Donald Seales and Victor Audain, racked up Computec Vincy Masters’ tally.

LIME Sion Hill had a three to one win over African Tref. Strikes by Carlos De Shong, Wayne Matthews and Randy Pierre ensured Sion Hill’s dominance. Paul Kirby scored from the penalty spot for African Tref.

And, Vintage Gold and South Leeward played to a one-all draw in the night’s final match.

Matches in the competition would be played on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

However, there will be no matches this Saturday. The competition is set to resume on Tuesday.

SESCO Masters won the 2014 edition.
