Returning after many years of absence, the race takes place on Sunday, October 25, from Peniston to Kingstown.

This event, in which the Mungroo brothers of Trinidad and Tobago made a name for themselves, was last held back in the late 1990’s.

A NACAC listed event, the race is expected to draw participants from North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

But this is just one of two races which has a regional flavour, as the Round the Town Road Relay is positioned for September 27.

Meanwhile, Team Athletics SVG has upped the number of its road races for 2015, with new areas added.

Races are set for Bequia, Biabou, Union Island, Mustique, Central Leeward, North Windward, Marriaqua and Kingstown.

These lead up to the Georgetown final, which runs off on December 13.

The TASVG races complement the LOG Enterprises sponsored races, which take place in Byera on October 11; the Sion Hill Sprint – November 1; and the grand finale in North Leeward on December 6.(RT)
