iShallz Byam Physical Therapy triumphs with First Division cricket title
iShallz Byam Physical Therapy smoothed their way to the top of the National Lotteries Authority First Division of the national cricket programme, defeating Triumph United Cricket Club by 150 runs last weekend at the Sion Hill Playing Field.{{more}}
Their win earned them a place in the Premier Division in 2015 and a spot in the Super-40 competition in August.
Batting first, iShallz Physical Therapy compiled 211 all out. Omar Tucker headed up the batting with 66; Mickel Mapp scored 54 and Imran Samuel 41.
Bowling for Triumph United, Maxwell Edwards took 3 for 9 and Nigel Small 2 for 23.
At their turn at the crease, Triumph United was shot out for 87. Kelvin Lorraine top scored with 23, as his team batting was shredded by the bowling of Javed Harry â 4 for 12 and Javon Samuel â 4 for 45.
With a beefy lead of 124, iShallz Physical Therapy mounted 140, batting a second time.
Kirton Lavia with 34 and Mickel Mapp 27, were the principal scorers.
Triumph United âs bowling saw Maxwell Edwards capturing 3 for 20, Nigel Small had 3 for 44 and Ronique Laborde 2 for 22.
Set 264 to win, Triumph United fell for 114. Only Rangel Smallâs 41 stood in the way of total dismantling, as Kirton Lavia bagged 5 for 61, Javon Samuel 2 for 44 and Courtney Joyette 2 for 1.(RT)
