Champion athletes celebrate at Buccament Bay Government track meet

The champion house and the respective individual age group top performers all had reasons to raise a toast at the Buccament Bay Government School’s track meet held at the Buccament Bay Playing Field recently.{{more}}

Green House outstripped the other three houses to champ the proceedings with 411 points.

Docking in second was Blue House – 345 points.

Third was Yellow House – 318 points, and taking the cellar position was Red House on 315 points.

Awanna Stephens of Red House secured the female Under-7 title and Esric Cruickshank, Blue House – the male Under-7 individual award.

The female Under-9 winner was Red House’s One Williams and the male awardee in that age group was Zacri Durham of Green House.

The pair of Ulanda Lewis (Green House) and Andrey Stephens (Blue House) were the female and male Under-9 champions respectively.

And, it was the dominant Zamesha Myle who claimed the female Over-11 title, with Kenneth Wilson the male Over-11 winner.

Myle competes for Green House and Wilson – Blue House.

The Buccament Bay Government athletes are focusing their attention on the National Primary Schools’ Championships, set for next month.

Buccament Bay placed second in last year’s event, behind the Layou Government. (RT)
