Adams clamped the 27 mile race which took cyclists from Kingstown to Bridgetown, Biabou then finishing at the Sion Hill intersection, in a time of one hour 24 minutes 43 seconds.

Adams put some daylight between himself and second placed Zefal Bailey, who clocked one hour 27 minutes 54 seconds.

And, as it was in the previous 35 mile race, the ever chirpy Peter Durrant, who claimed that no one in 2014 will beat him in the veterans category, was third overall, in one hour 28 minutes 53 seconds.

Durrant was the first among the cyclists who are 40 years and over.

Docking in fifth overall and fourth in the Under-40 segment, in one hour 30 minutes 41 minutes, was the multi-disciplined sportsman, Deptor Culzac.

Trailing him was Orel George, whose time was one hour 36 minutes 42 seconds. George was second in the 40 years plus category.

Taking the seventh place was Lucky Antrobus in one hour 46 minutes 14 seconds.

The other finishers were Casnell Duncan – one hour 48 minutes 03 seconds; Martin Bollers – one hour 48 minutes 45 seconds and Steve Ollivierre – one hour 56 minutes 34 seconds.
