Team Rivals rout Police One for 20 runs
Joint defending champions of the Premier Division of the National Lotteries Authority National Cricket Competition Team Rivals shot out Police One for one of the lowest totals ever to be recorded in the top flight of local cricket.{{more}}
Police One, the 2013 winner of the First Division, were dismissed for 20 runs in the opening match of the 2014 competition last weekend at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field.
Dismantling Police One were Asif Hooper with 4 for 6 and Deighton Butler â 4 for 10.
And asked to follow on, Police One, in their second innings, fared slightly better, being dismissed for 85, with Parnel Browne top scoring with 29.
Hooper was again the main wicket taker, with 4 for 19.
Team Rivals had batted first and posted 212 for eight declared. Harley Skerritt led the way with 70 and Roneil Jeffrey, 43.
Parnell Browne picked up 3 for 30, bowling for the law officers.
In 2013, Team Rivals had an unprecedented season, winning all three competitions.
They were joint winners with Victors One in the Premier Division, won the inaugural Super-40 competition and added the Neil Williams Twenty/20 to the bounty. (RT)
