BSA AGM gets two postponements

The date for the re-set of the Annual General Meeting of the Barrouallie Sports Association is now in the hands of the outgoing executive.{{more}}

This after two attempts to hold the AGM failed because of lack of a quorum.

When the AGM was called on Wednesday, January 22, at the Barrouallie Government School, only four people showed up.

Things went from bad to worse. On the reconvened date of Saturday, January 25, three persons showed interest in attending.

Accordingly, 28 people have a right to vote and guide the direction of the BSA.

The meeting, whenever it is properly constituted, will hear reports from the executive for 2013, and will present financial statements for the 2013 programmes

The AGM will also hold elections for a new executive.

Those posts to be contested are President, Vice President, Treasurer and Public Relations Officer.

The new executive when installed will serve for the 2014- 2016 period.

Reports are that copies of the nomination forms, financial statements and voters’ list have been made available at Laban Connell’s Shop in Keartons, and the Caribbean Shack.

Lorson Lewis is the current president of the BSA. (RT)
