The event will be held under the auspices of the patron of the SVGCA, Governor General Sir Frederick Ballantyne, from 7.30 p.m.

The SVGCA is using this event to recognise those cricketers who gave outstanding performances on the field of play, during 2013.

This year, the Association will honour two stalwarts of the game for their outstanding contribution to the development of the sport. They are Clarence “Paddy” Thomas, a former cricket administrator, national selector, and youth coach, and Cornelius “Boop” Davis, a former national cricketer from the 1960’s era.

The feature address will be delivered by Wycliffe “Dave” Cameron, the president of the West Indies Cricket Board, on the topic: “West Indies Cricket; opportunities for Vincentian cricketers.”

Other addresses will come from the president of the SVGCA Julian Jack and the Minister responsible for Sports Cecil McKie.

The highlight of the event will be the naming of the five cricketers of the year, the youth cricketer of the year, and the senior cricketer of the year.

A number of cricketers, cricket officials, sponsors and well-wishers of the sport are expected to attend this event.
