But Richmond Hill had to rely on kicks from the penalty spot, in their match against Compsports Masters, to earn them the lien on the title, which included the challenge trophy, the winner’s trophy, medals, beverages, the match ball and the cash prize of $1,000.

Both teams had played to a 2-2 tie in regulation time, which necessitated the kicks from the spot.

In an entertaining encounter, Compsports Masters went ahead through Tyrone Prince, who netted a penalty in the first half. This, however, was cancelled out by Deptor Culzac, who did likewise as the half ended 1-1.

Somari Webb sent Richmond Hill ahead with his second half goal, only to see Rohan Keizer bring back the teams level 2-2 at the final whistle.

The spot kicks saw Richmond Hill prevailing 5-4 in sudden death, after the first set of kicks, both teams were levelled at 4-4.

Compsports Masters pocketed $750 and a trophy.

Richmond Hill gained entry to the final, with a 3-nil disposal of 2012 winner — Sharpes United.

The goals for Richmond Hill were scored by Deptor Culzac, Johnny Trimmingham and Somari Webb.

Compsports Masters had trounced Hope International 7-1 in the other semi-final.

Sharpes United got past Hope International 4-1 on Saturday, to take the third place trophy and $300.

A brace from Donald Ferdinand and one apiece from Reynold John and Maykele Culzac did the trick for Sharpes. Franklyn Roberts accounted for the lone response from Hope International.
