Gibson’s Building Supplies take Firms Football trophy

Gibson’s Building Supplies proved their supremacy over ECGC, when they added the champion of champions trophy of the 2013 Digicel Aeropost Coreas Hazells Inc Breakaway Masters Firms Football Tournament to their collection.{{more}}

Gibson’s, for the second time in six days, overcame ECGC at the competition’s venue – the Grammar School Playing Field.

After taking the Knockout title via kicks from the penalty spot the previous Sunday, Gibson’s just needed an early goal, thanks to a mix-up in ECGC’s defence, to seal the deal.

Sharing the joy on the evening were the other top performers and achievers in the three-month long tournament.

SVG Post claimed the JG Agencies trophy – adjudged Most Disciplined Team.

C.K. Greaves, winners of the Soccerama, took away the Joseph Delves trophy, with Coreas Hazells Inc copping Group One and Transport and Works, Group Two and the Carl Dickson trophy.

The exciting Bonadies secured the Standard Shippers and St Claire Leacock trophies, as they were the Most Spirited team and Best Dressed team respectively.

Shuna O’ Garro of CWSA was named Player of the Tournament, with Kenran Daniel, of Prime Minister’s Office, given the Ali Munroe trophy as the Most Outstanding Goalkeeper.

Media Houses’ Kevin Samuel got the Francis “Vamps” Llewellyn trophy for nineteen goals, which made him the tournament’s leading goal scorer.

The Female Player of the Tournament award was taken by Keisha Morgan of Vinlec, and she received the Standard Shippers trophy.

Cornelia Doyle was the Senior Female Spectator of the tournament.

The Male Spectator of the tournament was Vibert Martin and the Female Spectator, Bethel Ollivierre.

Medals were presented to the cheerleaders, who added some spice and variety, as well as other contributors and spectators who frequented the venue for the duration of the tournament.

These medals were made available, compliments John Horne and Wayne Crichton.

Twenty teams participated in this, the third year of the tournament. (RT)
