Clarke, of the St Vincent Grammar School, netted 15 goals, while Cunningham, of the Central Leeward Secondary, registered 25 items.

Cunningham, who was the stand-in captain on the day, punched what was his most important goal of the competition, when he netted in extra time, to give his school a one-nil win over Bethel High in last Friday’s final. Cunningham was also voted the Player of the Under-21 Final.

Clarke, like Cunningham, scored the lone goal in the 2012 Under-16 final, which allowed the St Vincent Grammar School to be crowned champions.

Both top goal scorers are accustomed to such limelight, as Clarke plays for System 3 in the various leagues across St Vincent and the Grenadines, while Cunningham has been a member of the Barrouallie senior outfit, which has won the Inter community League Championship in 2012 and 2013.

Cunningham also represents BESCO Pastures in the premiership of the national club championships and was a member of the St Vincent and the Grenadines team which hoisted the football component of the Windward Islands Schools Games last August.

The two, along with others, were presented with their accolades last Friday evening at the Victoria Park at the presentation ceremony, which officially concluded this year’s edition.

Taking the Player of the Final award in the Under-16 division was Kemuel Peters of the Dr J.P. Eustace Memorial.

Peters netted one of the goals which contributed to his outfit defeating the St Martin’s Secondary 2-nil in the first of two finals played at the same venue.

Trophies were also presented to the zonal winners in the Under-16 and Senior Divisions.
