TBPO Softball Cricket competition motoring on

This past weekend saw more action in the National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Progressive Organisation’s Softball Cricket Competition at the Dauphine Playing Field.{{more}}

Chalking up wins were Georgie Valley Saints, CGM Novice, Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem and Dr Thomas Injectors.

On Saturday, Georgie Valley Saints outdid Shot Callers by 10 runs.

Georgie Valley Saints batted first and made 102 all out; Jonathan Conliffe top scored with 41.

Bowling for Shot Callers, Jabarri Guy picked up 3 for 9; Lee Bullock 2 for 13 and Jayvon Jack 2 for 20

In reply, Shot Callers reached 92 for 7 in 15 overs; Deshawn Jack hit 28 and Azmon Forbes 20.

Georgie Valley Saints’ bowling was led by Kareem Cumberbatch, who grabbed 4 for 12.

Also on Saturday, defending champions CGM Novice ousted EZ Woods Toppers by 34 runs.

Novice posted 151 all out in 19.2 overs, with Dale Clarke hitting 53.

Darren Henry bagged 5 for 38.

Topers though, could only reach 117 for 9 from their 20 overs. Joel Patterson cracked 57.

Richie Richards was 3 for 13; Andre Hunte 3 for 17 and Kentish Phillips 2 for 15, bowling for Novice.

On Sunday, Nar Fren Dem won from Mac Lil Saints by 94 runs.

Nar Fren Dem batted first and made 151 all out; Mark Durrant had 24 and Devon Prince and Ziron Harry both hit 20.

Sebastian Davis 4 for 14 and Rawlson Nanton, 3 for 24, shared the bulk of the wickets for Lil Saints, who could only muster 57 all out.

Bowling for Nar Fren Dem, Glenford Woodley snared 3 for 10 and Bert Edwards 3 for 14.

In another match, Dr Thomas Injectors defeated General Hardware Supplies Richmond Hill by 140 runs.

Taking first strike, Injectors posted 176 for 6 in 20 overs; Damien Allan struck 54 and Kesron Ashton 49.

Bowling for Richmond Hill, Zenroy Lee took 2 for 24 and Collin Lee 2 for 29.

Richmond Hill was dismantled for 36, as Emil Small took 4 for 6 and Kesron Ashton, 4 for 25.(RT)
