Hector, who registered his third century in eight matches and Mark Audain (70), shared in an opening stand of 232, as they plundered the tame bowling of St Catherine to all parts of Marine Park A on a fair Sunday afternoon.

Hector, the St Vincent and the Grenadines middle order batsman, who also commutes regularly to play in Washington DC, was dropped on 73, and made the best of the second chance.

His second fiddle, Mark Audain, registered 9 fours, but Middlesex faltered to reach 284 for 7 in 35 overs.

St Catherine reached 136 for 7 in 29 overs, as six overs were deducted for the late commencement.

Bowling for Middlesex, Treldon Mc Millan grabbed 2 for 13 and Donwell Hector 2 for 57, as Middlesex won by 148 runs.

Middlesex will now meet Imperial on Saturday, August 24 at Marine Park A.

Imperial earned that right with a comprehensive eight-wicket thumping of Panthers at Marine Park C.

Panthers made 180 all out in 39 overs; Ijaz Butt cracked 92. Bowling for Imperial, Shaddy Khan captured 5 for 35 and David Mohammed, 2 for 49.

Imperial, after losing the wicket of Hyron Shallow early in their response, got their innings stitched up by Marlon Johnson, who played some exquisite strokes en route to his 72.

Opening batsman Ainsley Edwards, who hit 66 not out and Dennis Green, 23 not out, saw Imperial over the hump at 182 for 2 in 29 overs.

The other semi-final match up pits Diplomats against Sheffield, also on August 24 at Marine Park C.(RT)
