The ceremony heard brief addresses from president of the South Leeward Sports Association Elroy Boucher; a representative of the St Vincent Brewery Candice Sealey; and area representative of South Leeward Nigel Stephenson.

Boucher thanked the sponsors the St Vincent Brewery, ECGC and St Vincent Container Corp, for the assistance in making the 2013 competitions a success.

Boucher lauded the companies, granted the hard economic times faced by all, for exhibiting their support for the development of sports in South Leeward.

Sealey pledged the continued support of the Brewery towards the development of sports in South Leeward and St Vincent and the Grenadines as a whole.

She stressed that the Brewery has been sponsoring South Leeward sports for over 15 years continuously, which shows commitment to the development of the area.

Meanwhile, Nigel Stephenson lamented the dilapidated state of the pavilion and promised to do something if the government does nothing by the 1st September 2013.

Largo Height won the football competition, with Lower Campden Park second.

Seymour Bailey of Largo Height was adjudged the Best Defender. The Most Goals award was shared by Nazir Mc Burnette and Emery Bailey, who each netted 10 goals.

In the netball competition, Campden Park Strikers finished at the top of the heap, ahead of Barrouallie in second place.

The Best Defender award was taken by Shevern Williams with Rochelle Franklyn taking the Most Goals trophy.
