Belair Government munches KFC WSG Primary Schools’ Cricket title

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force Belair Government School was oh so good, against LOG Enterprises Dorsetshire Hill Primary in the final of the KFC West St George Primary Schools’ Cricket Competition last Saturday at the Belair Playing Field.{{more}}

After losing out to the Coreas Hazells Inc Gomea Methodist School in the inaugural final last year, Belair ensured they would go one better in 2013.

Dorsetshire Hill batted first and posted 109 in 16.5 overs.

Johndale Greaves struck 56 and Anil Greaves 22, to be Dorsetshire Hill’s lead batsmen.

Shamar Conliffe took 2 for 2 and Jahiel Walters 2 for 22, bowling for the Belair Primary.

In response, Belair knocked off the runs, as they reached 111 for 4 in 18.3 overs.

Devon Woods, with 52 not out, crafted Belair’s six wicket trumping.

Shakeem Greaves, in between, had figures of 2 for 11, bowling for Dorsetshire Hill Primary School.

The other schools which participated in the competition, which is into its second year, were the FCIB Sion Hill Government, Coreas Hazells Inc. Gomea Methodist and the St Vincent Teachers Credit Union Belmont Primary.

The presentation ceremony will take place on a date to be announced.(RT)
