In the process, Clinchers reversed the order in the league competition. Last Thursday, though, Clinchers were clinical in their disposal of their arch-rival from the get go.

Clinchers rushed out in the first quarter 15-8, as Bethel High School players were hit by the fast centre court play and the early free scoring.

The lead was extended to 29-13 at the end of the second quarter and romped to a 42-22 score line at the close of the third quarter.

Clinchers wrapped up the lopsided affair 54-32.

Kadijah Williams registered 47 of her 54 attempts and Kenesha Francis recorded 7 for 11, to account for Clinchers’ goal tally.

For Bethel High School, Yanesha Scipio nailed down 16 of her 24 attempts; Shanice Daniel 9 of 11, and Mauricia Cuffy netted 7 from 13, as they all played second fiddle.

Copping the Division Four Knockout title was the second piece of silverware to be captured by the Clinchers club, as Aycees Nice Radio Clinchers won the Division Two League competition, ahead of C & R Enterprises Sion Hill and WE FM Struggling Youths, in that order.

Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem topped Division Three, with Courts Maple second and Everready Future Stars, third.

In Division One, Vita Malt Maple retained the league title. Western Union Mitres was second and Bank of SVG Valley Netters, third.

The Dellarice Duncan led executive of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association has decided to do away with the previous format of holding the closing ceremony at the conclusion of the last match of the tournament. Instead, they will be holding a more formal awards and presentation ceremony on Wednesday, June 19, at the Kingstown Netball Centre.(RT)
