Cycling season gets into full gear
The 2013 cycling season will accelerate this Sunday with the staging of the 1.62 mile power climb for road cyclists.{{more}}
Dubbed the Lewis Auto World and Lewis Pharmacy power climb road bike classic, cyclists will ride off from 4 p.m., just outside Lewis Pharmacy, make one lap around Kingstown, then to the top of Sion Hill.
This is the first road bike power climb for the year, and competitors are in for the cash prizes, which are at stake to the top finishers.
With the pace set, next Sunday, all cyclists with road bikes, mountain bikes, men and women and BMX for children will show off their speed in the Dasco Pharmacy Round D Town Cycling Classic.
The races will start outside the Dasco Pharmacy and around the city and finish outside the Dasco Pharmacy.
Prizes will be distributed by Dasco Pharmacy.
