He is quietly confident that at the end of the annual meeting, he will be still at the helm.
Jack, who rose to the post in 2005, taking over from long-standing president, Lennox John, is seeking his fifth successive two-year term.
Jack, a former St Vincent and the Grenadines and Windwards opening batsman, was re-elected unopposed in 2009 and 2011.
âI have offered myself as president again and it is a matter [for] the members at the meeting to decide,â Jack told SEARCHLIGHT on Tuesday.
He said he believes his stewardship during the past two years, especially in 2012, is enough to give him another vote of approval.
Jack said the exclamation point during his last two years was the crucial hand he played in getting the three One Day Internationals here, between the West Indies and Australia last March.
He said he believes that the general administration of the matches, the support from the Vincentian public and the eventual outcome of the matches put St Vincent and the Grenadines in good stead to host matches involving top ranked nations.
Jack also hailed the success of the senior menâs team in securing the Windwards two-day tournament in 2011 and the T-20 competition last year as high achievements in his executiveâs last term of office.
âWe also trained our scorers ⦠We have been told that we do not have enough qualified scorers here and over the last two months we organised a scorersâ workshop,â said Jack, a former Windward Islands chair of selectors.
Jack said he was generally satisfied with the output of his executive during the last two years, and expects that they too will be able to convince the affiliates on Saturday.
Apart from Jack, the outgoing executive comprises first vice president Elson Crick, second vice president Selwyn Allen, treasurer Rawle Caine, secretary Samuel Holder, assistant secretary Thaddeus Seymour, and committee members Calvin Glasgow, Deighton Butler, Cecil Charles and Kenroy Martin .
Reports are, that all except Seymour will be looking to be re-elected.
Crick had indicated to this publication two years ago that it would have been his last term, but has had a change of heart.
Tomorrowâs meeting will hear and discuss the minutes of the last annual meeting, the Executive Report and the Audited Financial Statement.
The constitution of the SVGCA states that each affiliated club is permitted to send three members to the meeting. (RT)
