Batting first, Youth Combine posted 151 for 9 from their 20 overs.

Neil Baptiste top scored with 37 and Allan Foyle hit 20.

Joseph Medford captured 4 for 20, bowling for Port Elizabeth.

In reply, Port Elizabeth was dismissed for 139 from their 20 overs; Bernard Derrick was the top scorer with 22 and Colville Hazel contributed 20.

McNeil Morgan was the pick of the bowlers for Youth Combine with 2 for 25 and Jenry Ollivierre had 2 for 29.

The limitation of play was compounded when Imperial Pharmacy West Side Knockers won by default from Manicou, while Sunday’s other scheduled match between Knights Trading Aussies and JSM Royal Challengers was postponed because of a funeral.

This weekend another three matches are carded with Canouan, as usual with two engagements.

On Saturday, Canouan plays South Side United from 2 p.m. and returns on Sunday at 10 a.m. to meet Village Apartments Port Elizabeth.

Sunday’s final match, which is set to begin at 2:00 p.m., pits JSM Royal Challengers against Imperial Pharmacy West Side Knockers. (RT)
