Barrow, Fraser head to the finals of PS3 Fifa 12 Football Competition

Old Montrose resident Shorn ‘Gago’ Barrow and Jawanza ‘Sanga’ Fraser of Paul’s Avenue are the first two of eight finalists who will take part in the grand finale of the KISOMI Entertainment Courts Heineken Playstation 3 Fifa 12 island-wide tournament.{{more}}

The first leg of the competition was held on Friday, June 1 at Carlon’s Shop in Paul’s Avenue and saw 14 gaming enthusiasts squaring off against one another.

When the final whistle blew, Barrow and Fraser were the only two left standing.

Barrow, who scored the most goals throughout the first leg, finished off Fraser in a one-sided final that saw Fraser losing 3 goals to nil.

For copping the top spot, Barrow took home EC$200, compliments KISOMI Entertainment, organizers of the event and two cases of Heineken beer, compliments sponsors, the St Vincent Brewery Ltd.

The next leg of the tournament takes place in Mesopotamia on a date to be announced.

The tournament climaxes on Friday, July 13, at Courts St Vincent Limited’s Bay Street branch, where the top eight players will compete for the chance to win a PS3 gaming console compliments Courts St Vincent Limited.(KW)
