The latest to join the fray are Dominica and St Kitts and Nevis, who emerged first and second respectively, from the NORCECA Pool F of the World Championships, which were staged at the Multi-Purpose Sporting Complex in Road Town, Tortola, the British Virgin Islands last week.
Dominica played unbeaten in the tournament, edging out St Kitts and Nevis 3-2; they blanked Montserrat 3-0 and also dismantled the British Virgin Islands 3-0 in the preliminary round.
In the final against St Kitts and Nevis, Dominica once more came up trumps, wining 3-2.
St Vincent and the Grenadines claimed a berth to the hexagonal finals, after placing second to host St Lucia in April, when qualifiers were held there.
Heading to the ECVA finals, St Vincent and the Grenadines will have to pull out all the stops if they are to create an impression on some formidable opposition.
St Lucia, Dominica, St Kitts and Nevis and St Vincent and the Grenadines will be joined by two others, who will be determined when the next World Championships are staged.
In contention in Pool D are Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla, St Marten and host French St Martin.
This pool is set to be contested August 31 to September 1.
The four already known ECVA finalists, along with Grenada and the British Virgin Islands, have made it through to the second round of the World Championships qualifiers, set for 2013.(RT)
