United Survivors stay unbeaten in Women’s T-20 Cricket
United Survivors, seeking to become the inaugural winners of the RBTT National Womenâs T-20 Cricket Competition, played under the aegis of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association, remains the lone unbeaten team in the pack.{{more}}
Survivors added two more victories last weekend at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field.
On Saturday, United Survivors romped to an eight-wicket win over Rising Stars.
Batting first, Rising Stars made 70 for 6 from their 20 overs, with Crystal John hitting 29.
Bowling for United Survivors, Camille Garrick took 3 for 13.
Samantha Lynch then hit 31 not out, as United Survivors cruised to 74 for 2 in 11.5 overs.
United Survivors returned on Sunday to stop Ajuba by 45 runs.
Cordel Jack with 27 and Clea Hoyte 20 not out, led United Survivors to 110 for 5 from their 20 overs. Darren Charles took 3 for 18, bowling for Ajuba, who then struggled to 65 for 6 from their allotment.
Sandra Samuel got 20, as Kimon Homer took 2 for 17, bowling for United Survivors.
Also on Saturday, Tigress whipped Rising Stars by 42 runs.
Stacy Ann Adams topscored with 24, as Tigress got up to 122 for 4 from the 20 overs. Rising Stars also conceded 46 extras. Bowling for Rising Stars, Samantha Caine grabbed 3 for 20.
In reply, Rising Stars reached 80 for 6 from their 20 overs. Veneisha King led the way with 32.
Stacy Ann Adams hauled in 4 for 12, bowling for Tigress.
And, Tigress also trampled on Ajuba Stars on Sunday by 89 runs.
Stacy Ann Adams, enjoying a good season, lashed 40 and the veteran Jean Blutcher hit 34, to propel Tigress to 123 for 7 in their 20 overs. Rachel Charles was Ajubaâs most successful bowler, with 3 for 13.
Ajuba though, was dismissed for 34 in 13 overs.
Annesha Williams, 2 for 5, and Rochelle John and Melissa Billingy, who both had 2 for 8, bowled their team to the comfortable win. (RT)
