South Leeward Softball Cricket Competition ends this Sunday
Health and Wellness and Rillan Hill will contest this Sundayâs final of the National Lotteries Authority T-20 Softball Cricket Competition, set for the Campden Park Playing Field.{{more}}
Both finalists came through unharmed from last Sundayâs semi-finals.
In the first game of the double header, Rillan Hill defeated Lower Campden Park by nine runs.
Batting first, Rillan Hill made 105 for 9 off 20 overs. Lorenzo De grads was the topscorer with 33 and Alston Baptiste contributed 20.
Zeron Murray was the lead bowler for Campden Park, as he took 3 for 16.
In response, Lower Campden Park reached 96. Ronald Medford made 16. Bowling for Rillan Hill, Emil Small took 3 for 8.
Rillan Hillâs opponents in the final, Health and Wellness recorded a similar triumph over Great House by 13 runs.
Batting first, Health and Wellness made 103, all out, in 19.5 overs. Deptor Culzac cracked 52, to be the lead batsman.
Devern Holder took 3 for 20 and Agustine Jeremy had 3 for 21, bowling for Great House.
In reply, Great House could only reach 90 for 8, from their allotment of 20 overs.
Leading Great Houseâs unsuccessful run chase was Aaron Shallow, who hit 25.
Before Sundayâs grand finale, Great House and Lower Campden Park will square off to determine the third and fourth placed teams.(RT)
