Youth United flogs Log Masters in NLA First Division play
Bryden Frutee Youth United recorded a comfortable ten wicket win over LOG Enterprises Masters at the Buccament Bay Playing Field, last weekend,{{more}} in one of three matches of the National Lotteries Authority First Division of the National Cricket Programme.
LOG Masters batted first and made 67, with Basil Weekes the topscorer with 24.
Joel Oâ Garro picked up 4 for 19 and Isaac Trimmingham had 2 for 30.
In reply, Youth United made 97 for 9 declared. Keroy Roberts lashed 34, as Delshorn Welcome took 3 for 17 and Elvis Browne captured 3 for 19.
Batting a second time, LOG Masters fared worse, as they were dismissed for 49. Isaac Trimmingham snared 4 for 6 and Keroy Roberts 3 for 24.
Needing 18 to win, Youth United reached 19 without loss.
At the North Union Playing Field, Smashers defeated Radcliffe Too by six wickets.
Radcliffe Too posted 189 all out, batting first. Michael St Hillaire hit 52; Analdo Fisher 50 and Romario Pierre made 34. Marvin Small grabbed 6 for 93 and Antonio Charles had 3 for 52.
Kevin Sam made 42, Raydon Bentick 33 and Curtis Joyette 25, as Smashers scored 175. Kamal Greene with 3 for 23 and Daniel McMillan 3 for 40, were Radcliffe Tooâs most successful bowlers.
In their second innings, Radcliffe Too was dismissed for 114. Michael St Hillaire was again the topscorer with 32 and Arnold Jack contributed 31. Adolphus Charles bagged 4 for 56 and Marvin Harry 3 for 24, as Smashers had to make 128 for the outright win.
Smashers obliged, reaching 133 for 4. Ronald Scott led the successful victory chase with 61.
And, at the Stubbs Playing Field, Belmont United took first innings points from Unique Warriors.
Batting first, Unique Warriors made 117. Onike Endeavour 4 for 32 and Augustus Mofford 3 for 26, shared the bulk of the wickets for Belmont, who responded with 130.
Nickie Antoine was Belmontâs lead batsman with 53 and Javed Cordice struck 32 not out.
Bowling for Unique Warriors, Calvert Williams took 3 for 3 and Joseph Medford had 3 for 42.
Unique Warriors reached 118 for 6 at the close of play. Omar Williams compiled 54 and Chrisroy John hit 25. McKinley Delpesche took 3 for 13, bowling for Unique Warriors. (RT)
